Institute of Notre Dame

The Institute of Notre Dame was a Catholic college preparatory high school for girls in downtown Baltimore, Maryland. The school was the first girls' school founded in North America by the School Sisters of Notre Dame in 1847. It was one of the few places in North America where the congregation's Foundress, Blessed Theresa Gerhardinger, lived. It also long served as a motherhouse for Sisters entering SSND formation. The school closed as of June 30th, 2020.
