The associates and pre-associates of Baltimore celebrated Foundation Weekend in a special way. On Saturday, October 23, they gathered by Zoom to reflect on their associate covenant as a living out of the charism of Blessed Theresa. Sister Patricia McLaughlin, the presenter, asked the group to reflect on the covenant and the sisters’ response. There was time for quiet reflection, as the participants made a virtual visit to the gravesite of Blessed Theresa in Munich, and for small and large group sharing.
On the afternoon of the 24th, the pre-associates, their companions and guests gathered in person in the chapel at Villa Assumpta, with the other associates watching via livestream. The pre-associates shared individual reflections on passages from You Are Sent. Sister Sharon Kanis, on behalf of the Provincial Council, accepted the First Covenants and welcomed the newly covenanted associates to the SSND Associate Relationship. Each new associate received the associate pin from her companion.
